This page will be updated when further results are made available. The following results are in response to my raster challenge. Although tempting to compare results across servers, please remember they are not comparative. The idea of the challenge is to allow each image serving application to use their preferred storage mechanism to highlight peak performance of their application using the same base data. Whether the end number is the same or twice as “fast” is really irrelevant. For a direct comparison, look here

CONFIGURATION STEPS

1. Add a catalog (layer) to Express Server which points to the folder where the images are stored. This can be done either by editing the XML configuration document or simply by using the Express Server Management Console.
2. Configure the layer for WMS. This can be done either via the command line tool isindex, or via the ES Management Console.
3. Create an overview (command line or ESMC).
